Rodriguez Nets First Career Goal at Albany Pharmacy

Albany, NY – Morgan Rodriguez gave the Roos a lead in the 35th minute but three second-half goals carried host Albany College of Pharmacy to a 3-1 win on Sunday afternoon.

Victoria Bean found Rodriguez for her first collegiate goal 10:01 before halftime as the Roos (5-8-0) held a 7-3 shots advantage taking the one-goal lead into intermission.

Katie Benson tallied her team-leading 21st goal of the season in the 52nd minute off a pass from Avery Crossley to knot the game at one apiece. Molly Mancini slotted the eventual game-winner just over two minutes later as Benson assisted the strike.

Arica Tehan added an insurance marker for the Panthers (7-3-1) in the 81st minute for the 3-1 final.

The Roos held a 16-11 shots advantage in the contest as Allison Wakefield finished with three saves. Sally Slowinski turned aside six shots for Albany Pharmacy.
