Randolph, VT – The women's basketball team saw three players reach double figures but Fisher College held onto an eight-point halftime lead on its way to a 60-55 victory on the first day of the Vermont Tech Tournament on Tuesday.
Randi Conway and
Allison Fink paced the Roos with 14 points apiece, while
Tylar Barbato added 12 points for the Roos.
Taylor Saltus and Sade Rogers chipped in five points apiece, while Saltus added six assists.
Fisher (4-4) jumped out to an early 15-11 lead after the first quarter and extended their lead to 33-25 at intermission. The Roos (2-12) got within five points after outcoring the Falcons 13-10 in the third period but the teams played to an even 17-17 tie over the final 10 minutes.
Aliyanah McIntosh led all players with 18 points and nine rebounds for Fisher, while Madison Carroll and Murphy Carroll added 13 and 12 points, respectively.
