Canton, NY – Caselynn Fulton (Saint Cloud, MN) and
Tatiana Laroche (Elmont, NY) both recorded double-doubles but the SUNY Canton women's basketball team was handed an 87-53 defeat at the hands of host St. Lawrence University on Monday evening in Burkman Gymnasium.
Fulton finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season, while Laroche added her fifth double-double of the season netting 12 points to go with her 11 boards.
The Saints (11-3) jumped out to a quick 22-9 lead after the first quarter and extended the lead to 40-19 at intermission. Fulton led all players with seven points in the opening half, while Cara Waterson also had seven for St. Lawrence.
St. Lawrence continued to cruise in the second half on its way to the convincing victory. Waterson paced the Saints with 16 points, while Sarah Thomas added 10 points. Lauren Quattrocchi posted nine points and five assists, while Kaelyn Kohlasch dished out six assists to go with her seven points.
