Men’s Soccer Drops Road Tilt at Clarkson

Potsdam, NY – The SUNY Canton men's soccer team was unable to overcome an early first half deficit falling 2-0 on the road at Clarkson University on Wednesday.

The Golden Knights got on the board in the 12th minute off a corner kick when Jon Jones' header found the head of Zachary Godin as he put home his third marker of the season. Clarkson led 1-0 at intermission.

The hosts added a second tally in the 63rd minute. Kevin Calnan chipped a through ball to Maximilian Leetz on the left side of the box. Leetz ran in behind the defense and played a cross back to Tucker Wilcox who made it 2-0.

The Roos held a 6-5 corner kick advantage in the contest, while Clarkson held an 8-4 shots on goal advantage. Austin Lamay (Malone, NY) made six stops for the Roos, while Michael King made four stops for the Golden Knights.
