Canton, NY – Karyss Terrance (Hogansburg, NY) of the women's basketball team and Bernadette O'Connell (Buffalo, NY) of the women's hockey team have been named Roos of the Week, as announced on Monday.

Terrance had a remarkable weekend leading the women's basketball team to a 1-1 week at the Penn State Beaver Tip-Off. The forward averaged 18.0 points, 13.0 rebounds and 1.0 assist a game while shooting an extremely accurate 58 percent from the field. She opened the season leading all players with 14 points and 10 rebounds against Carlow.

The sophomore followed that up with her second double-double in two games finishing with 22 points and a game-high 16 rebounds in a thrilling 71-69 victory against host Penn State Beaver. The women's basketball team is back in action Tuesday when it hits the road for a 6:00 p.m. match-up at SUNY Potsdam.

O'Connell had an impressive weekend leading the women's hockey team to one win and a tie on the road at Chatham University. The freshman forward finished with two goals and one assist on the weekend tallying her first career point in a 1-1 tie on Friday and scoring two of the four Roo goals in a 4-1 win on Saturday.
