Sweet & Sayward Score Two Each as Roos Down Wildcats

Cazenovia, NY – Alexis Sweet (Norfolk, NY) tallied her first two career goals for the Roos while Jade Sayward (Willsboro, NY) netted her fifth and sixth scores of the season to lead visiting SUNY Canton past Cazenovia College, 4-1, Saturday afternoon.

With the win the Roos improve to .500 on the season at 7-7. The Wildcats drop to 5-9.
Sophomore Karley Cree (Hogansburg, NY) assisted three of the four goals on the day, while senior Katlyn Hart (Harrisville, NY) registered her sixth helper of the season.

The Roos were firing on all cylinders Saturday as they outshot host Cazenovia 17-5 in the contest. Brittany Rotach (Brasher Falls, NY) earned her seventh win of the season in goal for SUNY Canton.

The women's soccer team is back in action Wednesday when they host SUNY Institute of Technology at 7:00 p.m. The Roos will be raising funds for breast cancer awareness at their contest and it will be RooVuzela night. The first 500 fans will receive pink Roovuzelas! Vuvuzelas are plastic horns that produce loud monotone notes when they are blown into. This is a great opportunity for fans to support the women's soccer team and come out and make some noise!
