Lalonde had a big weekend posting five points on three goals and two assists as the Roos split a pair of SUNYAC games. The sophomore had a hand in four of the Roos five goals in a 5-2 win v. Buffalo State on Friday. She recorded her first career hat trick scoring Canton’s first three goals including the eventual game-winner shorthanded. Two of her three goals came in the third period as she turned a 1-1 tie into a 3-1 lead in less than a four-minute stretch. She also had the primary assist on the team’s fifth goal, went 3-for-6 on faceoffs and had a game-best +5 on-ice rating. On Saturday Lalonde had the primary assist on a power play goal at the end of the second period that got Canton within 2-1 in an eventual 4-2 loss at No. 4 nationally-ranked Plattsburgh. Lalonde currently ranks tied for third in the SUNYAC in points (10) and goals (6).
