Alvarez stopped 63 of the 65 shots she faced in a 2-0 conference weekend for the Roos. The senior recorded a 30 save shutout to lead Canton to a 2-0 win v. Oswego State on Friday, their first ever win v. the Lakers. It was the 12th career shutout for Alvarez tying the program record set by Brooke Susac ’20. On Saturday Alvarez turned aside 30 of the 32 shots she faced in a 5-2 road win at Morrisville. She finished the week with a .969 save % and 1.00 goals against average. The Roos are tied for their most wins in league play since joining the NEWHL (7) and are just one win shy of tying the program’s all-time win mark for a season (14).
