Alvarez posted a remarkable .962 save % and 1.00 goals against average combining to stop 50 of the 52 shots she faced as the Roos earned a road weekend sweep at Anna Maria College on Friday and Saturday. She opened the week with 26 saves on 27 shots including stopping 13 shots in the third period to key a 2-1 win on Friday v. the Amcats. Alvarez followed that up with 24 saves on 25 shots in a 6-1 road win at Anna Maria on Saturday. She now owns a 7-1-0 record on the season and has Canton off to its best start in program history at 8-1-1 as they are currently on a six-game winning streak.
