Gavette had a remarkable game scoring four of the Roos eight goals as they earned an 8-0 win v. SUNY Cobleskill in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) opener for both teams on Saturday. The four scores were just one goal short of the program record and the most by a SUNY Canton player in nearly eight years. The rookie scored two of the team’s first four goals both of which came on headers on eerily similar plays with service from Brennan Harmer on the right side to Gavette at the far post. Gavette also scored the first two goals of the second half, one on a cross out in front and another on a rebound off his own shot that was initially saved. At one point the Margaretville, NY native scored three consecutive goals. He did all of this in just 45 minutes of action as he was subbed out for the game shortly after his fourth tally.
