Alvarez combined to stop 43 shots and record a 1.01 goals against average and .956 save percentage in a 2-0 weekend for the Roos. She posted a 26 save shutout in a 6-0 win at Buffalo State on Friday. That marked her fifth shutout of the season, a SUNY Canton women’s hockey single-season program record, breaking Brooke Susac’s mark of four in two different seasons. On Saturday Alvarez recorded 17 saves in a 4-2 road win v. the Bengals. The junior now has a 10-2-1 record on the season with a 1.30 goals against average and .937 save percentage.
