Marshall had a strong week as he finished in the top 10 in all three events he competed in leading the Roos to two team victories. He won medalist honors with a round of 2-under par, 70, to lead Canton to a win at their home invitational on Tuesday. The senior’s round of 70 was tied for the lowest of any SUNY Canton golfer in at least the last 11 years. Meanwhile, his performance led the Roos to a team score of 300, their lowest of the season, and 22 strokes better than runner-up Clarkson.
On Tuesday, the Syracuse native carded a round of 7-over par, 78 to finish in second place out of the 20-golfer field. He led the Roos to a second place finish out of four teams, just five strokes back of winner Oswego State.
Marshall closed out his week posting an eighth place finish out of 28 golfers with a round of 10-over par, 82. The Roos won their second event of the week with a team score of 326 strokes besting second place Castleton by nine strokes to take home top honors out of the six-team field.
