Alvarez was named the Tournament MVP of the Castleton Invitational after stopping 41 of the 42 shots she faced in her first two collegiate wins. On Saturday she totaled 21 saves on 22 shots in a 2-1 win v. Buffalo State. The rookie recorded her first collegiate shutout in a 20 save performance as the Roos defeated Northland College 2-0 in the championship game on Sunday.
