Russell shot a round of 3-over par, 75, in extremely windy conditions as gusts reached approximately 40 miles per hour to claim medalist honors at the SUNY Canton Invitational on Friday. He bested the field of 45 golfers by a single stroke and led the Roos to a third place finish out of eight teams. Russell also tied for 17th place out of 53 golfers at the 36-hole Utica College Invitational with a 159 (79-80). The Roos finished in fourth place out of eight teams with a 646 (321-325).
