For the second consecutive year McMorrow won the SUNY Canton Kangaroo Invitational on Thursday with a time of 20:05. The Ireland native covered the 5-kilometer course 20 seconds faster than her closest competitor in Haddie Lary from Norwich University. McMorrow followed that performance up by finishing in third place at the Southern Vermont College Invitational in a time of 21:20, just two days after her first race of the season. Despite a nagging injury she finished just one minute and nine seconds behind individual race winner Kaylyn Crompton from Castleton.
