Carpenter had a phenomenal performance on Friday at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championships finishing third on the team for the Roos, her best run of the season. The freshman improved by nearly four minutes from her only other 6 kilometer run of the season as she crossed the line in 29:17 over the course at the Drumlins Club in Syracuse, NY on Friday. Carpenter, who opened the season with a 30:20 run at the Roos 5-kilometer course, finished the season running a faster time over a 1 kilometer farther race.
