Smith had a standout performance at the Southern Vermont College Invitational finishing in fourth place individually out of the 65-runner field. The freshman covered the hilly 5-kilometer course in 22:58, just over a minute behind the individual champion. This marks first top 5 finish of the Smith’s collegiate career.

The women’s cross country team travels to the Johnson State College Invitational on Saturday.
