Podkladek was a bright spot for the SUNY Canton softball team on Sunday as she went 3-for-6 from the plate scoring twice and knocking in two runners in her first two collegiate games. The freshman also showed her versatility throwing a complete game going seven innings and giving up just three runs to go with three strikeouts against the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg.

The Gansevoort, NY native also impressed in the field amassing four put outs and eight assists for a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. The softball team has completed five of its 10 games on its Spring Training trip in Myrtle Beach, SC.
