Gallagher was instrumental as the SUNY Canton men’s soccer team handled visiting No. 8 SUNY ESF, 4-1, Sunday afternoon. The sophomore finished with a goal and assist for the Roos as he upped his season total to five goal and two assists. In the opening half Gallagher played a beautiful ball that set Nick Escalante in on net for a breakaway goal giving the Roos a 2-0 lead. With the hosts clinging to a 2-1 lead late in the game Gallagher came up huge as Escalante found him in the middle of the box where he redirected a header past Oak keeper Mike Walczyk for an important insurance marker.

The men's soccer team has a busy week as it hosts three home contests in a five day span. The Roos square off with Johnson State College Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., Alfred State Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and St. Lawrence University Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
