Schoner had a hand in three of Canton’s four goals finishing with a +3 on-ice rating as the Roos upset No. 4 nationally-ranked Oswego 4-1 on the road on Saturday. The win was the second highest ranked win for Canton in their D-III program history and their first ever against the Lakers in 16 tries dating back to the 2014-15 season. The junior put Canton up 1-0 in the second period and later had the primary assist on the game-winning goal at 7:44 of the third period. Schoner sealed the win with an empty-netter with 58 seconds remaining in the 4-1 win. He leads the Roos with 12 assists and 19 points which rank eighth and ninth, respectively, in the SUNYAC.
