Johnson posted a career-best run covering the 8-kilometer distance in 28:16 (5:42/mile) at the Cross Country Only Championships at Seneca Lake State Park on Saturday. He finished in 18th place out of 78 runners beating his previous 8K best by seven seconds. It’s the fifth consecutive race Johnson has paced the cross country team to start the season.
