Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton men's and women's ice hockey teams were awarded for having the highest team cumulative grade point average during the 2014 fall semester. The teams were recognized for their achievements at Thursday's faculty assembly in Kingston Theater.
The women's ice hockey team finished with a 3.350 GPA, while the men's ice hockey team carried a team GPA of 3.181. Overall student-athletes had an average of a 2.99 GPA last semester, while the overall student body finished with an average of 2.77. Twelve of the 14 SUNY Canton athletic programs finished with a total team GPA above 2.77.
