Men's Basketball Participates in Canton Hoopsters

Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton men's basketball team was out in the community making a difference as they took part in Canton Hoopsters, a program where local colleges put on clinics for area youth teaching them the fundamentals of the game of basketball.

The SUNY Canton men welcomed elementary-aged students to the Roos House on Saturday, January 11th where they spent an hour working through various drills. This was the fifth straight year the men have participated in Canton Hoopsters.

The men's basketball team is always looking to lead by example in the community. "It was a fantastic day our team had with the first and second grade Canton Hoopsters," said Head Coach Jim Bechtel. "There was a lot of energy in the Roos House and we had a great time teaching the fundamentals of the game of basketball."
