Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton athletics department hosted Special Olympics basketball practice for the second consecutive Sunday to close out NCAA Division III Week.
The Roos, who are in their final year of provisional membership with NCAA D-III, have partnered with the North Country Region Special Olympics over the last few years to put on events including time trials and the North Country Region Summer Games.
Members of the women's basketball and men's basketball teams welcomed approximately 30 people to the Roos House as the Special Olympics basketball teams worked on the fundamentals of the game in preparation for the summer games.
