Canton, NY -- The SUNY Canton women's basketball team will take to the court for an excellent cause on November 22nd and 23rd when they host the Fourth Annual Kevin Fee/Roos Classic. The Roos will face Bard College on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. before squaring off with SUNY Potsdam at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Alfred State College will also be taking part in the four team tournament.
The tournament is being held in honor of the late Kevin Fee and all proceeds that are generated at the contests will be donated to the Richard Winters Cancer Center.
"This is a wonderful opportunity to remember Kevin and support such a worthy cause," Tallon said.
Fee was a longtime police officer in Ogdensburg and a huge supporter of local and youth sports. He was also an instructor in the Criminal Justice program at SUNY Canton.
There will be no admission charges for the games in the tournament. People attending the games are being asked to make a donation at the door. The first 25 people to make a donation of $10 or more will receive a Kevin Fee Classic T-shirt.
Anyone who cannot make the tournament but still wishes to make a donation please contact
Erin Reed at 386-7335 or
