Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton softball and women's soccer teams were back out in the community recently making a difference for their local neighbors. A group of approximately 20 Roo athletes took to the yards around the village of Canton raking leaves in an effort to help those in the community.
This is an annual community service event held in Canton each fall. Various groups in the community are assigned places throughout the village, mainly for those who need assistance, and rake/clean up the yards. The two teams left Roos House by 9:45 a.m. and spent roughly three hours cleaning up the neighborhood.
